Seipasa presents its innovation model to Mireia Mollà, Regional Minister for Agriculture in the Generalitat Valenciana

Seipasa, the Spanish company specialised in the development and formulation of bioinsecticides, biofungicides and biostimulants for agriculture, received the visit of Mireia Mollà, Regional Minister for Agriculture, Rural Development, Climate Emergency and Ecological Transition, of the Generalitat Valenciana.  

Accompanied by Jordi Juan, Regional Secretary for Innovation and Digital Transformation, and by the Mayor of l'Alcúdia, Andreu Salom, the Minister heard first-hand about Seipasa’s Natural Technology model applied to agriculture which has led to the Valencia-based company winning the highly prestigious 2020 National Innovation Award, presented by the Ministry of Science and Innovation. 

Mireia Mollà visited Seipasa's R+D+I department and laboratory and toured the company's production plant and logistics centre in l'Alcúdia, where it manufactures its products and distributes them to more than 25 countries worldwide. There was also the opportunity for the Minister to hear about the research projects that Seipasa is currently working on, which it hopes will make its headquarters at l'Alcúdia a major centre for innovation and for attracting talent.

Pedro Peleato, Seipasa's CEO, thanked the Minister of Agriculture and her team and once again stressed the company's commitment to drive forward innovation in the primary sector: "Seipasa is a company created by and for farmers. We have the same interests as the Department of Agriculture and the whole of the Government of Valencia, which is to support the primary sector. We will continue working as we have always done to develop and provide farmers with the most innovative and effective means for controlling the pests and diseases that affect their harvests".

The Regional Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, Climate Emergency and Ecological Transition, Mireia Mollà, stated that farmers need to know about the business fabric involved in innovation in the sector.

For his part, the Regional Secretary for Innovation, Jordi Juan, stressed the key importance of organic farming for innovation in agriculture in the region of Valencia and he highlighted the example of Seipasa as the 2020 National Innovation Award winner.
