Seipasa, a Spanish company specializing in the development, formulation, and manufacture of bioinsecticide, biofungicide, biostimulant, and nutritional treatments for agriculture, has received funding from the European Union through the NextGenerationEU fund for the execution of its photovoltaic solar energy project. This subsidy is granted under the framework of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, within the incentive program for self-consumption and storage linked to renewable energy sources.

The project, titled “INSTALACIÓN SOLAR FOTOVOLTAICA PARA AUTOCONSUMO (IMTA0215 SEIPASA-5),” was promoted by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge and managed by the Generalitat Valenciana through the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE).

Technical project details

The investment, implemented at the company's main facilities in L’Alcúdia, involved a total expenditure of €99,814.88, for which a grant amount of €18,777.43 was awarded.

The technical infrastructure consists of 182 photovoltaic modules with a unit power of 550 Wp, reaching a total capacity of 100,100 Wp on the plant's rooftop. In addition, there are three-phase inverters with a nominal power of 99,900 W, designed for high energy performance and achieving an efficiency rate exceeding 98% of the generated energy.

Impact on sustainability strategy

With the commissioning of this renewable generation system, Seipasa has reached a key milestone in its decarbonization strategy: 40% of all electricity consumed by the company across its production and work centers in Spain now comes from solar energy.

This initiative allows for substantial savings in the plant's electricity consumption, reducing reliance on non-renewable energy sources and reaffirming Seipasa's commitment to an efficient production model that respects natural resources.
